I landed in the world of affiliate marketing last year. I kept learning from different blogs, Read books related to affiliate marketing, watched courses at Udemy and found it very interesting. I already shared Top Marketing Blogs that are my favorite ones. I love to read every latest post that gets published there.
In 2015, I had a time-management issue. So, I thought to learn not to implement! In 2016, the month of January has passed and in that month, I tried Affiliate Marketing for the very first time. I earned 27$ Not much? Right?
I am happy with it as it’s my first income from the love, Affiliate Marketing 🙂
In this post, I’ll share how I did that in the form of story:
Which Affiliate Network I used?
The affiliate network that I used was LinkShare. As I told earlier, I tried affiliate marketing for the very first time, and so the LinkShare is the first affiliate network I joined so far.
With which brand I affiliated and why?
I affiliated with Udemy (an online platform where you can buy OR sell video courses). Why I chose this? The reason is simple; I found this affiliate program easy to promote and it proved comfortable when I tried!
How I Promoted the Udemy deal?
I got approved by LinkShare. At January 22, I received an e-mail regarding the 10$ Udemy deal.
First, I ignored it. After ignoring it, I felt worried and talked to myself:
” We learn but not implement?”
I opened the e-mail, copied the affiliate links and thought to promote it!
I had already learned affiliate marketing techniques from blogs, and now, it was the time to implement what I’ve learned so far!
First, I created a landing page:
Opened Facebook and navigated to my ads account, created an Ad that was pointing to the landing page! Here is a brief summary of Ad campaign:
Total Budget: 10$
Targeted: USA & UK (audience)
Post Likes: 197
Post Shares: 34
After setting up the ad campaign, I went sleep and had a couple of bloggy dreams :D. I woke up and got excited to see five sales in the analytics! Still the campaign was running, and I started hoping for better results….
Earned 27$ – at the end of campaign
Udemy offered 10% commission per sale, so I made sales of 270$ to make 27$ 🙂 I was very excited to see the dashboard showing the first affiliate income! See the snap from Payoneer account:
Where would I spend the first income?
That question might be interesting to you. Okay, I would spend these bucks in getting premium versions of some marketing tools OR gonna spend in online shopping 😀
Do Me a Favour 😉
This is my first ever affiliate income so far. I will be sharing case studies about marketing & blogging soon! You share the post and show your love by saying “Congratulations” in the comments section!
